Well it cleans very well and if you wash it off very well afterwards it will be fine. Just make sure the odor isn't strong afterwards. I know rabbits hate the smell, some people use it in gardens to keep them away. I dont know if it would be the same for the mouse.
As long as you clean the cage out well its a very suitable cleaner. Just make sure you use something to get rid of the scent after words. Maybe like some good smelling bubble bath.
