My roborovski hamster Rohroe does not seem to eat! i just noticed it this morning. I still give him the same food mix and treats. But the food i put in his food dish last night is still the same. However, this morning also, when I woke up and check him, the food dish (which is critter trail food dish, you know, the one that is attached to the cage but can be removed of course) is half-way upside down. And the licking stone is half-way upside down too. I don't know what my hamster did! Its like his food-corner just experienced a storm or something! Then when he woke up, I saw that his cheek pouches are empty but he does not want to eat even if i put his food dish in front of him. Do you think this is trauma? Because last night he eats regularly. Or maybe this is a cheek pouches disease or a dental disease? By the way, he drinks regularly but doesn't eat. :( He is turning 2 months this June 17.
It's more than likely that your little friend eats, you just don't see him doing it. My little guys don't like to eat anything if they know I'm watching or coaxing them. If he starts to look skinny or sickly, take him to the vet.
