My hamster got out, It's in my walls?
So I left home for the weekend on friday and I left my sister to checkup on my hamsters during the weekend. Soon saturday night my sister called and told me my hamster escaped, It's been four or five days and I couldn't find her anywhere but this night I heard something scratching against my wall and I'm very positive It's her mice don't come in our house this season. I think this same thing happened to another hamster I've had at a different house but that was a long time ago. So I'm a little scared because number one: I don't know how she got in the walls, number two: I have no idea how to get her out because I don't know where to put traps number three: I think she's either stuck or so scared she'll only stay in that one spot. what can I do?
OMG! I have no idea!!!!!!! you could try and set a trap in the roof... peanut butter always works!
If she hangs out in the same spot every night the only thing I can suggest is to cut a hole there.Unless you want your hammie to die. Witch you probably don't 'cause you sound so nice. Good luck.
hamsters are very robust she will be ok she just needs time to calm down try leaving food around possible areas that she could have gone not too much otherwise she will store it and hide it .... try investigating the walls around the house especially warm areas like the airing cupboard she will get attracted to furthermore is she near Electrics in the walls?>
If you have been able to hear her through the walls you will probably need to cut a hole in the wall. If she is trained to come to your voice, this may be enough. Otherwise, you may have to put a baited humane trap near the hole and leave it over night. The site below is how to fix the hole you made.
