This question has been asked like 10 tens from me :D
Ok heres the bottom line :
2 male guinea pigs (brothers)
were fine for the 1st week then started fighting after.
4-5 months old.
Teeth chattering, rumblestrutting (they do this)
NO blood has been drawn.
They have been seperated for now.
I know I probably shouldn't have done it,
But the one who gets picked on is really stressful.
I need a solution as I have chicken wire down the middle of the cage.
And honestly the space they live in isn't even 1/2 metre.
Ino it's wrong but I don't know what to do.
PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What you should do is have someone build you a hutch you can place somewhere indoors (where it can fit). Have it custom build so it's big enough for both of them, but where they can be separated so neither get on the other's nerves. Do some research first on where you can have it built, the size, and the price.
I've had piggies since I was 17
Two males will fight- basically.
I used to keep two brothers together- and they were together for about 7 years and very happy- but they had a large cage.
Have you considered investing in a larger cage? The boys may feel like there is less competition and fight less- they should also be getting enough food daily- this is also a cause for fighting.
You can have males neutered- but this will generally not change their attitude to other males- the benefit of being neutered is that after a month they can live with females and have a very happy life with them.
You did the right thing by seperating them.
If they are divided through the cage they can still see and smell each other, so thats good- but it sounds like you need a bigger cage!

the best thing to do can be expensive, but get them neutered. I'm watching mine closely, because they may get to that point I don't know though . Basically the reason they fight is because they're trying to show dominance. if they are fixed they will not try and dominate anymore, because it pretty much makes them, well female. Females RARELY get like that. I would get them both neutered too, because if you get the attacker fixed, then your attackee will become an attacker, showing his dominance. neutering for piggies can run anywhere from 30-300 dollars. I've done my homework where I live, it would run me about 300 for the both of them. I'd try Belinda's option first though. mine is a little more extreme. If you need a hand with the cage search I'd be glad to help if you wanna e-mail me.
You should just sepeate them into different cages. It dosnt have to be expensive just put them in a plastic bin or another place or you could build one. You shouldnt seperate them in the cage because its to small and they are still in contact with each other. I had two male brothers, but one of them died this morning.... good luck with them!!!
