There is a mouse in between the floors of my house! Help!?
We can't get him out! He's not upstairs or on the main floor. He's in between and has been running around up there off and on for two months.

We put poison upstairs and in our garage and also checked into those mouse frequency things (but the box said that the frequency does NOT go through walls).

Our ceiling is like cardboard tiles or something; it's all connected and so there's no place to lift one up. We're renting.

I can hear him now! Ugh. I'm so worried he's going to chew a hole through... somewhere and get into the upstairs or main floor.

What is there to do? He's NOT going away.
Get a shotgun.
Read your lease. If you are renting your landlord probably has to pay for an exterminator, call them. When you do be adamant that you have no allowed trash or refuse to build up and make sure that they will not take it out of your security deposit, you may want to get it in writing, I had a bad experience once.
Buy some D-CON, ( a 4 pack), and a 4 pack of mouse traps. Place peanut butter on the trigger of the traps and set it where you hear the most commotion from the filthy rodents. The peanut butter is difficult for them to get off so there is a greater chance of them setting it off and getting clipped. The D-CON is a poison that they will quickly eat because it has a slight sweet aroma to them. If the traps don't get 'em the poison will! Good Luck!!
I had the same problem and this is exactly what I did; it worked like a charm.
Does it appear that any of your poison has been eaten? if not he must not be coming out to eat it. Is there a closet upstairs? If there is (this is just a thought) Maybe you can drill a small hole in the floor of the closet and drop some poison through the holes. (Do it in the corner) If he isn't coming out you have to go after him. Maybe that will work. Good luck
How do you know its just one? Usually there are more than one. If you here them during the night only then you probably only have a few. If you hear them in the middle of the afternoon that means there are so many that some HAVE to forage for food during the day. I would call your landlord and be very careful with the poison so your kids, dogs, cats or other animals or you dont get sick. Make sure you wash your hands really well after handleing it.
