i'm debating on whether or not to get a gerbil or a hamster. i'd like to get a gerbil but i'm worried that it would be too hyper to the point where i couldn't hold it without it constantly running all over the place and potentially losing it. any help?
i hate hamsters. they bite.

ive heard that they are extremly hyper animals or actually just really active. id say get a hamster they arent as quick lol

they are amazing little creatures
easy to care for and loving
the con is, they don't live long..
gerbils are very nice too
except with them, it's suggested that you buy them in groups, two or three, for they are social animals and prefer to have company then be alone
not all gerbils are super hyper
some you can handle and play with, some you cant
same thing goes for hamsters
I have one who won't keep still to save his life

I'm an owner of 4 Syrian hamsters and 3 Winter White dwarf hamsters
gerbils tend to be more hyper than hamsters (syrians) but dwarfs i would say are about the same,here are some helpful links!
