i live in california and it gets hot were i live so do i need a heat pad or heat lamp during the summer??and how do i cool down the temperature in the tank??
Corns are relatively versatile when it comes to temperature. No, you definately dont need a heat lamp or pad in the summer!!! Ideally, keep your corn's tank temp between 60 and 80 degrees.
I keep my corn's tank in the room across from my AC, so if its too hot out the AC unit will keep her cool enough. In the winter, keep her a bit on the cooler side, as corns do semi-hibernate. I also drop my feedings from a mouse per week to a mouse every two weeks in the winter as well. She'll slow down in the winter and spend a lot more time curled up in her hide; dont worry... its normal.
Best of luck!!

I own a corn and my uncle rescues reptiles.
