What happens to a turtle if their tank is too small?
I got these 2 7 year old turtles that are in a 15 gal tank. I know they r crammed inside so i was thinking that i could release it since i really dont them to suffer or put it in my 200 gal fish tank with a silver arowana , a fatass goldfish, a flat thin silver fish , and these other 2 adult fish. Help/
having them in too small of a tank will cause a lot of stress on a turtle especially if there is more then one. you can put them in the tank with the fish as long as the fish are at least the same size or bigger then the turtles. the fish wont hurt the turtles any and vise versa. or if you want and you have some extra spending money you can pick up a 55 gallon fish tank at walmart for around $120 its a lot cheaper then buying one at a pet store and works just as good. Also if your planing on letting them go in the wild they will die as they were not born in the wild and lack the skills needed to survive. Your turtles will be fine with the arowana as the turtles should be fairly large by now and arowana's are only common for attacking and eating other smaller fish and bugs and same goes for the turtles. like i said just as long as the fish are at least the same size or bigger then the turtles everything will be fine. i have two Res's, a yellow bellied slider, and a midland painted turtle for three years and have a lot of experience with dealing with them
ok if u release them they will die because they depend on ppl for food and ppl dont feed wild turtles, they will eat ur fish u need to eather give them to someone who can afford a larger tank or give it to a shelter other wise ur turtles are gonna die and next time dont buy a animal u cant affored
