Some reptiles incubate them in stable temperature environments, like dirt and compost mounds that alligators build, or pits that sea turtles dig. Some snakes coil up around thier eggs and occasionally flex their muscles to build heat over the eggs. Other than this I really dont know if ALL reptiles incubate their eggs, or in what manner they do it.
As I said, even though turtles leave their eggs, they are definately being incubated under the sand by mother nature, even though the mother turtle herself isnt incubating them. They're STILL getting incubated!

You have to incubate them unless you want them for breakfast
that other guy is an idiot for saying you don't have to incubate them. yes you do, turtles bury their eggs because that sand protects them and keeps them warm. all reptiles incubate their eggs, even though they are cold blooded, they still need to be kept warm.
