I would never recommend feeding your reptile food from outside. Especially amphibians. Amphibians are very sensitive to chemicals and pollutants in the water which could very well be harmful to your gecko. As for other wild food items (crickets, bugs, etc) could've come in contact with pesticides, weed killers, etc. Just no way to tell. Stick with feeding things you buy from a store or breed yourself :) Good luck.
