I want a lizard that doesn\'t have much heat and that i dont have to feed cricke

I want a lizard that doesn't have much heat and that i dont have to feed crickets. plz?
I have a ten gal cage and i want something like a gold sand gecko ur some kind of little gecko. I dont want to feed it crickets, and i only want to put a heat matt the side. My parents dont want to run every where looking to get crickets all the time. and they would have to be kept in a ten gallon and i need to get this from like a petsmart or pecto over the internet is way to much money for shipping thx
if you can get a larger vivarium like a 45x45x45cm or a 45x45x60cm tall you could get a crested gecko, they can be fed crested gecko diet (which is a powder you mix into a paste) but they need at least 45cms of height (more is better) but only need to be kept at 65-80F (21- 28 C) and never over 90F (29 C). but like i said they need more room than 10 gallons. otherwise there are no small reptiles i know of that dont eat bugs that can live i something as tiny as a 10 gallon
Leopard geckos are easy to handle, care for, and can be fed on other things than crickets. They eat meal worms, wax worms, locusts, wingless flies and many other things. The also do not require uva/uvb light, just a heat mat.

the heat mat should go under the sand or viv depending on what type of vivarium you have. a ten gallon should be enough for one, but you may need to buy a larger one as it get older. They live for up to 20 year, become fully grown at around 12 months + and are sexually mature at 18 months. i have one, and they are great/1
I would forget the idea of a reptile, then. Most need much more then just a heatmat under the tank. Many need special lighting (over the top basking lights, and UVB bulbs!). Most lizards will not fit in a 10 gallon tank either. Maybe a leopard gecko, but they need insects as a part of their diet.

How about setting it up as a fish tank? That may be a bit easier for you since you parents will not get you live feeders.
anoles!
adorable (but fast)
go plastic then you will not have to feed or clean up after them
