He's a gelding 5 years old.
He is lame on the left front.
I had my farrier out cause I thought he was coming up with an abscess or something, but he said that the pain is coming from his shoulder...
I put him on bute for three days and my vet is coming out in two days to look at him.
Meanwhile I been trying to do some research what might could be some causes !?
It's hard to say cause you guys can't see him I know but the vet hopefully will diagnose his problem.
But what could be in his shoulder ??? Muscle pain ? Arthritis ? or something worse ?

well hes only 5 i hope he does not already have arthritis. is there any swelling or heat? maybe he just pulled his muscle.
If he was formerly raced.. you probably have something severe. I would get him Xrayed asap so this problem doesnt worsen!!!
Could be a poorly fitting saddle or an old injury. The vet will probably know what to do. If it is connective tissue or muscle, an equine massage therapist may be helpful. If there is some subluxation of the spine or neck, an equine chiropractor will be able to fix it. Be sure after an adjustment or massage to make plenty of water available. The horse will need to flush out any toxins that developed in the muscle.

If he has raced, it can be an old injury acting up. He could have tripped in a tiny hole, rolled and gotten bruised by a stone, anything could have happened. Make sure to give him complete stall rest until the vet comes ! He will be fine. At worst he might have pulled a muscle.
did he get kicked or hurt himself? any bruises? feel around to see if it hurts him. if it hurts him its probably muscle pain. if he is lame alot then he might have arthrits. my pony has arthitis but she is in pretty good shape and she doesn't get as lame as she used to (she once had to be on stall rest for 6 months! - that was before i owned her tho)

kelly here is the thing though MY MOM JUST DIDNT CALL ME A BABY BUT TOLD ME I BELONG IN PAMPERS AGAIN look people heard her call me a baby in mcdonalds and tell me that she was going to get me diapers and a crib for what i did. i have witnessess dont you think that would help with soical servcies. its not fair she said that it was only ketchup we threw on people and the people in front of us were old like in there 50s they wouldnt even know it was on there clothes if my mom didnt say anything. its not fair you know. i dont want to sound like a whinny baby all she had to do was give me the 90 bucks for the game of course of her she had to pay 300 bucks for the clothes i ruined.look BUT NO OTHER MOM WOULD TELL ME THAT I SHOULD BE IN DIAPERS AND NEED A BOTTLE ONLY MINE DOES THAT. not even you would say that if i was your kid..thats how un cool she is..
