Hmmmmh...not EVERYTHING, but a lot of books have different information. The authors have different ways of doing things, but everybody learns differently.
I have a book that I thought was all about horse, like everything, but it wasn't. Try flipping threw some horse info books at your library.

lol no way. i think if there was one, it would be the size of my house. there's so much to know about horses, its impossible to learn it all and its impossible to even fit a quarter of it into a book.
The older I get, the more I come to realize that there is no one right answer to most questions, and that is particularly true of health issues (human and animal) and training techniques (also human and animal)
If there were only one right answer for every horse question, the tome would be a block long. If the book was all inclusive of all the methods, it would stretch across the country (I don't care which one, but pick a big one like US).
I have an addiction to books, and I collect them as I can afford them. I moved recently and had to move my horse books. I literally have 30 linear feet of horse books, and I in no way feel that I have a representative sample. I have veterinary books, I have dressage books, I have rehab books, I have breed anthologies. Too many types to list. And then we could start on the tapes and DVDs I have!
It would be easier if there were one book and one video, but it would be so boring to have my horse be just like yours so the one answer worked for all the horses and people of the world. We keep playing and working with our horses because that is part of what makes life fun; asking the question: "If I do this, what will happen? Now how can we do it bigger, faster, better, prettier, whatever?" That's what gets us up every morning and not being bored.
