I'm doing a profile feature story on a girl in my school who loves horses (she actually bought her own horse, she rides him in shows, she spends a lot of time at the stables) for my high school newspaper.
She gave me the number of her trainer/boss (she also works at the stables to pay for her horse's board) and let the trainer know I was going to call.
Only, I can't come up with any questions to ask the trainer. Anyone have any ideas?

Ask the trainer their length of time being in the horse industry, and what disciplines they teach/ compete in/ favorites. Ask them about their preferred breeds of horse, and what they think is the most versatile. Ask them if they have a show record, what their most exciting time in the show ring was. You could also mention that if someone wanted to begin riding, ask them to explain the process and how to find a good riding stable. If the trainer is very involved, they have the credibility to answer all of your questions. Be sure to use proper terms, and to explain some that don't make sense to others not familiar with horses. Good luck!
