I was looking into either getting a GPA or a Gr8.
I always see used GPA's on ebay and tacktrader, but I can never find any Charles Owen.
Is this because people like their Gr8s soo much that they don't want to tell them and not as many people like GPAs so they want to sell them? I'm not sure if that was a dumb assumption but I was just wondering what other people thought about it.
I really like Gr8's so I wanted to buy one but I don't want to spend the $279 for them unless I have too.

I prefer GPA.
GPA's are cheaper and I have a more round head. I find them more comfortable for me. CO's are extremely expensive and I think, just as good as GPA's.
GPA's are more ventilated. CO's get smelling bad very fast. That is also probably why they sell that stink away helmet spray.

i personally like my lexington. I dont like helmets that make your head look huge. But if thats the one you want then buy one from ebay. although they say after a nasty fall you should buy a new one though. So just buy one that you like and that fits you well. I got mine from a store that was closing down for 75% off!!
i like GPAs better cause it fits my head better but you will have to buy a new helmet if u cant find a used one. most horse shows have tack stores or just look up some stores in ur area
I prefer Charles Owen Gr8. Though they are more expensive, I believe that they are better helmets. People don't want to sell them because they are such great helmets.

I prefer Charles Owens because I have an oval head where as GPAs fit a more rounded head. GPAs have more ventilation though and Charles Owen have NONE (so buy helmet cleaner and clean it often) Charles Owen is like wearing a pillow though. Charles Owens I have seen to be cheaper than GPAs depending on the type of GPA you get.
I much prefer the Charles Owen. they fit my head better and Im not willing to spend 5-700$ for a helmet. They are safe and realiblea nd they are available at almost any english tack shop. They don't have great ventalation(I spray febreeze in mine) so they do tend to smell a bit. I love mine and now you can get them for 300 as appose to 700 for the new GPA. If your head is small enough you can get the Jr8 which I think is a fare bit cheaper.
