What kind of quarter horse bars should I get?

I'm looking to buy a saddle for my horse, and I'm not sure what kind of bars I should get, to be honest I have always just gotten lucky when it came to using saddles that my family own so I never put much thought into fit, that is until I bought a saddle that didn't. Now i'm not sure what kind of bars it is, I'm thinking semi, because I'm pretty sure its too narrow, I see two dry spots on each side of her withers after I ride. I'm thinking about getting full quarter horse bars, but I also keep hearing that they are for "mutton" withered or stocky type horses, I don't believe my horse is mutton withered (could be wrong let me know), and I'm worried this might be a problem. Most of the local tack stores will let you try a saddle out on a horse to ensure it fits and allow you to return it in 48 hours if the fit is poor without a penalty.

There is also a little triangle thing that I think you can use to estimate the horses size?

I would start with regular quarterhorse bars and go from there. If you have friends who have horses I would test the fit of their saddles on your horse and find out how big their saddle bars are.

You can always get one of the wintecs with the adjustable bars if your horse turns out to be hard to find a good fit for.

i ride dressage on a sporty quarter horse so i don't know about western saddles but i think that your horse has high withers but not necessarily narrow withers i would recommend to get a saddle fitter or a chiropractor that fits saddles so you can get the best fit don't buy a saddle unless you are sure that it fits
