Have you had any real success using the spot on fly treatments for equines?
I'm asking if it really does last as long as it is suppose to, so long as the directions are followed.

I plan on using it on the legs only as long as the weather is below 95 degrees or so - then I think its way too hot for flysheets - so then I'd normally spray the whole body.

Anyhow I thought I'd ask before buying the stuff.
just Swat ointment. I would just use the spray on the legs. Using a roll on is just spending extra money.
I had some left over, so used them on three head last week, a ton Percheron, a 1200 lb Belgium/Arab/Quarter, and a mini....I am amazed at how well it has worked, especially considering it has rained twice since I applied it. So far I would have to give it two thumbs up, how long it will last, I don't know.
I think it works well. I use it on a horse I have with a broken tail and he can't swish flies with it. I only use it on his back half. And no, none of this stuff last as long as it says it should. I think Equi-Spot works the best.
