In hunt coats you have two vents and in dressage coats you have one vent. What about dressage/hunt shadbellys. Do you have the same # of vents?
Yes, they have the same number of vents. There are a couple of minor differences. Dressage shadbellys can be black or navy blue, both with canary yellow vest points and usually with brass-toned buttons. I have only ever seen hunter shadbellys in black with black buttons, and it's now very common to use plaid vest points or points that are a color other than the traditional canary yellow. Most hunter shadbellys have lining that matches the vest points, and some have piping around the collar points that also coordinates with the vest points. I believe that the tails in dressage shadbellies are weighted to help them stay down while riding, whereas the hunter shadbelly tails are unweighted so they don't end up under the rider's seat when they land off a jump.
I believe Kristen is correct.
