I\'ve always wondered...(mini horses)?

What do they eat and how much of it...
How much do they cost monthly?
Anything else related to minis go ahead and share
im curious and might get a mini filly next year

I am a mini owner and I think I spend more on my Black Labs food than I do my Mini's. They are all fairly small 27'' to 31'' so they get 1 cup grain in the morning and 1 cup grain in the evening. Also hay and treats! The biggest expense is vet and farrier!

Mini's are great! they do tend to gain weight rather easily (sometimes too easily) I work at TSC and definitely recommend Platform feed to Mini and Pony owners, it takes the guess work out of feeding regular grain or sweet feed which is usually a 10%, this is a 12.5% protein diet, and is specifically formulated for "the little guys" and from what I've heard from my customers, its a great feed. Its made by Farnam which is a very very reputable company, responsible for thousands of great farm and equine supplies.

1.My Mini's have all eaten the same as my other horses eg. Bran, Workhorse, Pellets, Hay Ect.
2.Well my grandparents own horses and they buy the feed but we pay them $10 a week for their feed cos' all my horse gets is a small piece of hay in the morning and a small quarter of a tin of work horse in the afternoon.
Another thing I got my horse for $200 because they thought he was a really bad horse but i trained him and he is now my best friend so If there is a horse which is quite cheap but a bad horse you can work on the horse>.<

I love minis! They are very smart animals. I actually taughjt them some english pleasure. I know some people are totally against riding minis but if you are 25% of their body weight, its ok. They are fast learners and love to please. Here are some websites to further asist you!

they eat grain hay and they cost the same as an average horse or pony the feed would cost the most... that and vetrinary and farrier work they need to be trimmed every 6mo. my horses it costs on average 50 to 100 per horse....

i have 9 reg. sized horses and im caring for a mini gelding named smokey..

Hay/grain/water
1-2 flakes of hay a day for each ...depending on horse
Monlthly? they cost me around 600 but i own 7 of them
