hmm i think they can range from most ph lvl for sa cichlids
ive had one for 4 years now ive had him in 3 diff tanks with diff ph lvl
he perfectly fine
they do perfectly in 6.7-7.8 ph this is what most are kept in

I would keep the temperature at 78 - 82 degrees F. The warmer, the better. Ph would be on the acidic side, but if the fish are already living and doing well at the current ph, i would not change it Good luck.
