Okay, so my fish is still alive, He is a Betta fish, but for a few weeks he has been acting very weird. I never see him eating, EVER anymore, and he also just lays at the bottom of the fish tank and barely swims around either. I do not know what is wrong. I tried buying a new PH solution for Betta Fish, I followed the directions and put the directed amount in.
Any Ideas of what could be wrong with him? Or is there anything I can fix or change? Can I add any other fish in there? Is he lonely? What could be wrong?
Please only serious answers. I hate to think of this poor animal suffering. THANK YOU

I'll see what I can do to help you out, but I need a bit more understanding on your conditions. What size or tank, and is it heated? Have you tested for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates?
He is not lonely, they are a solitary fish.

Whats the water temperature?
Betta need to be over 20C (70F) at ALL times, and preferably 25-27C (77-80F)
If not they get very lethargic, stop eating and die.

Oh lord... you put chemicals in? Bad idea... those are just a way to get money and usually cause way more problems than they solve.
It could be depression. That's a serious answer. Sometimes a betta will act depressed and lethargic and not eat for no obvious reason. Sometimes they come out of it, and sometimes they don't. If you can't find anything else wrong with him, it could be depression. You just have to wait it out. You can always try feeding him frozen blood worms or brine shrimp. Bettas love them! If he doesn't eat those, he isn't going to eat anything.

Is it in a 5+ gallon heated and filtered aquarium? Bettas become lethargic when they are cold so you need an aquarium heater. Dont mess around with ph it will only stress him more.
