I have a shubunkin outside in a 30 gallon pond, and he's been doing fine until yesterday, when a bunch of trees around his pond were torn up! Now his pond is filthy, and I checked him today, and he's not moving! I tried stroking him, which he usually likes, and he just floats! He's not dead though, I can see him breathing... HELP! I don't want my shubunkin to die... he's the last of a trio!
take him out of the pond for 2 seconds to relieve the stress then put him back in, turn off the lights to ease his eyes, and let him rest.
im srry but i pornoce him dead bury him tomoorw
there isn't enough oxygen in the water take him out put him in a bowl and buy an ariator for the bowl commonly found at walmart and clean the pond i hope he gets better <3
i love my goldfishies
If he is still alive right now then keep him in the water and push him back and forth slowly. This helps them get oxygen through their mouth and gills. Im sorry to say he will probably not survive though. Sorry. If he does then put him in a tank with an aerator in it. Make sure to use the water from the pond.
Edit: Is he breathing hard or normal? If he is breathing normal then try moving his tail for him (almost as if swimming for him). Also if you have any Aquarium salt put some in the pond.
