Would anyone pay money to have there fish tank cleaned out if they just cant be bothered or if they are away on holiday?
And if you would pay what would be a reasonable rate?

well i think about that all the time because i wanted to start doing it also im sure that people would pay like people who are just working long hours or go away on vacation. i dont know how much you should charge tho i mean you would have to have them pay for lets say filter cartreges and media or chemicals ect... but oyu would also need to make a profit but im sure people would pay you and to the kid who said no just buy a filter you retarded you still need to clean your tank and your tank must look like **** if you dont clean it

yes many people do.at my dentist some one come once and a while to clean there tank I think $20.00 would be a good price. depending on your tank size
where i live in miami there are several companies that do service aquariums...mostly saltwater...but the places also setup and repairer the tanks as well....but you need to understand that most people are not going to call you up to clean a 2 gallon tank or even a 55 gallon most people that want that service have 1000+ gallon tank that are saltwater.....or several large 100 gallon in an office building...it can pay you good money but you need to know people before hand....rich people....this is almost entirely referral Business
Not quite what you mean, but I have a mate that does something similar. He is the senior fish keeper in a large pet shop and his side line is a private consultancy. Basically he goes out and sets the tank up in the customers home, then he goes back and does the basic maintainance. Posh end of the market and he gets his customers at source; he sold them the tank.
Around about £10 per visit is fair and you need your own transport. You have to realise he has a big advantage on most people though, through his main job.

no way.
think about the risk.
just after you clean it, someone's expensive rare fish dies.
the insurance would be too expensive, you would be blamed for any fatality in the days after you cleaned it.

Filter would do the job for 2 weeks.
