Bacteria bloom??????????

Bacteria bloom??????????
so i decided to set my 75 gallon back up again because my room is now done so i set it up and filled it i have a marineland emporer 400 that has fully cured bio wheels but its been sitting in the basement for about 5 months so i bought fish witch have all been fine for about 3 weeks but now my tanks real cloudy im thinking its just the bacterea bloom but if i look at it from the side the water looks kinda green and i do some times have my light on for over 12 hours so what does it sound like to you
I would say it was the fact that you leave the tank light on to long the recomended time to leave tank lights on is 8 hours any more can encourage alge growth. Other factors such as food and amount of ammonia can make water go cloudy.

Hope this helps.
Plus cycleing the tank before you add fish is a must this takes around 4 weeks. This is so the bacteria can build up and destroy fish waste.
Sounds like an algae bloom. Change your water a little every day (7 gallons) or do a larger change weekly. Don't leave your light on as much this is giving the algae ample energy to grow
reduce the photoperiod to 7-8 hours. then do a 70% water change. leave the lights off for 3 days. do a 50% water change afterwards and you should be good.

its called green water which is an algae bloom. its not deadly but its obviously not wanted.
