sometimes fish just die for no apperante reasion now if it is bleeding doesn't mean it will die depends on the source and cause of this I have a large cat fish and he managed to take a large gash out of his side I didn't do anything for it it healed up withen a week and he is fine.
as far as your fish there is noone that can give you a 100 percent anwser since you don't say what king he is or where he is bleeding from but most fish bleed very little from injurys and heal up fine
