Buying replacement filter cartridges?
I'm looking for a replacement for the marineland penguin bio-wheel 350...the cartridge sold at Petco says: Marineland Rite-Size Ready-To-Use Cartridge for Penguin 160/170 & 300/330

330 instead of 350? o.o
Save yourself a ton of money, and buy a bag of filter floss. Should cost anywhere from 1.50-3.00 for a bag of it at petsmart. What you do, rip off a good sized hunk, and ball it up and mash it into your filter...that's it. A bag will last me a good 6-8 months, and that's with 7 tanks and even more filters.

When it's time to change it out, I rip off half of the used one, and stuff that into the bottom under the new stuff to keep some beneficial bacteria.

.
Marineland's Rite-size filters have a LETTER on them. This letter corresponds to the letter that is on your filter somewhere (or it should be). If you still have the box the filter came in, look on it. For instance, I have a Marineland Emporer and it takes filter cartridges with the letter E on it.

I have a Penguin 350 filter, and I purchased a 6-pack replacement cartridge box about a month ago. It is Size "C". The box says that the cartridges are good for models 170, 200, 330 and 350. Your 300/330 cartridges should be fine.
