Scooter, a teacup Maltese died before he could even be the official worlds smallest dog.
Will this be a wake up call to all the people wanting tiny "teacup" dogs?
What's your opinion?

The worlds oldest dog died recently too.

My opinion is that people need to wake up and read the breed standards, all the breeds that are mistakingly labelled with "teacup" have no minimum weight, they have an ideal range for what is healthy, but there is no minimum. Even a 1-2 pound maltese is a maltese, granted its an unhealthy maltese, but a maltese nonetheless.
It would be interesting to see what that poor dog died of, other than the obvious being poorly bred.
Edit- That is very typical with these poorly bred dogs.

how sad...people need to stop playing with genetics so much...
Pretty sick if you ask me. Many small dogs can't even naturally give birth. I think it needs to be stopped, that is purely just human pleasure from a dog's misfortunes.
