My dog has a yellow discharge that really smelly gaggy she is spayed and 13 year

My dog has a yellow discharge that really smelly gaggy she is spayed and 13 years old?
I took her to the vet he gave her a antibiotic after a week the smell went away still had the discharge, a week later the smell came back went to the vet again took more pills nothing is working now vet wants to do blood work but i do not have $200.00 to cover that. Does any one know what this might be. Thank You
maby take her to the groomers. i know it sounds weird but dogs have anal glands that get full and match the description of what is wrong with your dog. all they will have to do is clean them out it is painless!
good luck

Could be an infection of some kind that they really need to run blood work on to determine what antibiotic will work. Could be cancer. Could be anything. This is they the vet is going in a new direction. At this late stage in your dogs life, you need to be more concerned about her health than money. She has obviously given you many loyal and healthy years and now she needs you to take care of her in her old age.

I would not suggestion $$$$ and lots of complicated surgeries or harsh painful treatments, but surely a couple hundred dollars is nothing compared to her suffering or becoming deathly ill because you would not spare the money now.

$200 should not be the reason you allow her to go on like this. People are willing to spend over a thousand dollars to buy a sick little puppy mill dog, you have the opportunity to give your girl some comfort in her senior years and you are not willing to do it?
it could be they want to identify the paticular strain of bacteria since the infection hasn't gone away and the antibiotics are not effective... so she needs to get her blood tested to figure out whats wrong with her and help her get better... ask your vet if they can take payments if you can't afford it now, i've spent thousands taking my dog and cat to the vet over the past few years and i'm not rolling in th dough, but i always make a way cause i will do anything to make them feel better when they are sick!
