Dog? He got a dog? What's wrong with getting a cat?

It was a gift from Senator Edward Kennedy, who also has PWD's.

The breed rarely shows up in rescue.
Right now there are 14 PWD's listed on petfinder (for US and Canada).. several of them are listed as mixes and almost half of them look NOTHING like PWD's.. I think they were just listed as that breed to attract attention to potential adopters.
A few months ago when I looked, there were maybe 2 or 3 PWD's listed.

In between. They got it directly from a person that needed to give it up, so if they didn't take it it would have become a rescue dog.
