Reasons for aggressive behavior after getting her spayed?
My mom got her cat spayed 5 days ago and she has become extremely aggressive towards the other cats in the home. She used to be extremely skittish and hid all the time but since she has gotten fixed she is more accepting of human interaction but has become aggressive with the other cats. This was not an issue before she was fixed. She pretty much left all the cats alone and would just hide in my mom's bedroom. Now she sits at the door growling till she gets let out and chases down the other cats and attacks them. What are the reasons for these aggressive behaviors and how to we stop them?
She's in pain. That was major surgery and even 5 days after she's still feeling awful from it. Give her another 4 or 5 days.

If you can get some pain killer from the vets, it would help her.

To keep things a little easier for her, feed her separately in a different room and talk quietly to her.
Call the vet that spayed her and let them know about this behaviour. Chances are this procedure is one they do often and know the side effects.

My vet gave me her cell number when she spayed my cat in case i had any concerns, if your mom's vet did the same, have her call.
I rescue animals.
