Well seeing as how there really isnt a lot of common sense among people anymore, this makes perfect sense really. People are stupid...

You could not have said it better. It is getting to a point now where I am having lots of difficulty at times, "smiling from the wrists down", with some of these questions.
I think that there are many folks out there that think that cats are basically some kind of "wind up" toy. They are not as valued as dogs, and there are so many urban legends circulating around the world of pets, about cats and how "independent" they are and what "low maintenence" pets they are.
Of course they are quite labor intensive if one wants to give them the best care, be responsible cat keepers, and take them to the vet when necessary, and, of course annually for that such important check up.
I just wish that folks would take the time to research about cats before they adopt or purchase one so they are prepared to take proper care of them.
My patience runs pretty thin lately with these particular repetitive questions you talk about. It is very refreshing when someone who really cares about their cats ask questions that we know are sincere and demonstrate that they have the cat's best welfare in their hearts.
And the "I can't afford a vet but my cat is seriously ill" drives me around the bend.

the world is plagued with ignorance and the internet is the perfect platform for them to come out and congregate. I personally just skip over those questions and move on.
