My 1 year old cat got into a fight today. I dont know if I should take him to the vet or not.?
He has a large cut above the top of his right eye. Along with the cut, there are a lot of eye boogers and his upper eyelid seems to be swollen. When I first found him he had a slight bloody nose. On his left paw his dew claw has been ripped off and only the quik is showing, also one of his claws are in the same condition. I am also worried about the cough/sneeze he has. He had not coughed or sneezed until the probable fight he was in today. I cleaned up his cut, nose, and eye boogers with a q-tip. I put neosporin on the cut as another website said to do. (justanswer.com.) I dont know what to do about his claws or his cough/sneeze. Can I get any other tips to help get my cat better again?
no one on the computer can help you with this. your pet is deff in danger take him to the vet. & watch were you cat goes to decrease the chances of this again. be more careful.
I think he needs to go to the vet. It sounds like the damage to his claws is quite serious and needs checking. With that number of symptoms and cuts he probably needs antibiotics as well.

I'm also wondering if he has an ongoing feud with another cat, and that cat choose today because he is sick and therefore weak. It could be flu symptoms are the cause of the attack not the result. (Just the other cat saw them before you did...)

Anyway it does sound like he may have flu, so will need treatment for that too...
Definitely monitor his progress for the next day. However, if his condition worsens, take him to the vet immediately. Do not delay. If he seems to be ok within one to two days prior to the fight, it might still be wise to take him to the vet ASAP for a checkup. It is better to be safe than sorry. All the best of luck to you.
yes, he needs to see a vet, he most likely will need an antibiotic shot
The vet for sure. He'll probably need anti-biotics to prevent an infection. If you don't go, your cat could lose his eye :(
