I took a stray cat to the vet to be fixed and the there are now complications. Until I pay the extra bills, does the vet have the right to put my cat down if I do not pay soon??
NO it is against the law in almost every state
if it is a stray then yes, if you are taking full responsibilty including costs then no
If the vet put your cat down, without permission, then no, but if he feels the need to and the cat is dieing in a very painful slow death, i would put it down, like i had a cat with like 3 tummers around its heart :*(. i would say oopppps srry stuck the niddle in anyway lol.
First off, I'd like to say that you are a very kind person to be taking in a stray and taking it to the vet. The vet is not allowed to euthanize the cat because it is illegal. If you just randomly dropped the cat off without signing any forms, then yes he/she will be allowed to do whatever they want with the cat.
