My cat is very hungry becuase we forgot to pick up food.help!!?

Well, I'm a little late to the party here. I doubt that the hotdog will kill him. Shoot, if you read the ingredients, it might well be made of a lot of the same stuff as his regular cat food (depending on what you use). It should tide him over until you can get to a store, but I wouldn't use hotdogs in his diet regularly.

Some other ideas for emergency rations would be cooked, unseasoned ground beef mixed with some cooked rice (this is a bland diet my vet once recommended I give on my cats when she had some stomach upset. It's not a complete nutrition, but it will tide the cat over for a few days.) Or some nice, cooked, unseasoned chicken. Can mix in some pumpkin or winter squash. You can even feed a cat an egg - make sure it is cooked.

Hot dogs are probably not the best food for your cat to eat. YOu could feed him

Tuna
cooked fish
cooked chicken
cooked lamb
cooked beef
Ham
sardines

These are probably some of the best foods you could give him for the moment. Remember to get some cat food for him as quick as you can.

Guess since you already gave it to your cat, no answer will help.
Hope you find a good quality food to give your kitty, to make up for the hot dog.
Look for something without chicken by products (heads, feet and intestines) And try to steer clear of corn, which tends to be an allergy trigger.

if you don't have food fish sticks without the fried skin it's okay for them but not all the time. tuna out of a can is fine if you drain the can.any fish is fine for cats but they need cat food. don't ever give them milk! they throw up and then it smells disgusting.

Once or twice My cats had to live on tuna for a couple days.. SEe I was super poor, so was the company I worked for.. so, they'd not always pay me on time.. I was on food stamps, so I could buy human food with that but not pet food. I figured out that I could buy tuna with food stamps and give it to them when things were really tight.. but that only happened once or twice.. the last few desperate days before I'd get paid..

Walk to the door, get your car keys, and go get your cat some food. Tuna can poison a cat, it has enzymes in it that cause yellow fat to congeal around the liver, and enough CAN kill them. Go, go now, get some cat food.

I don't think it would hurt him. Not exactly the recommended diet for any mammal, but hey, we eat them sometimes too! You might want to got get some proper food though. Or at least some tuna.

It's better than nothing. If you have any tuna on hand, your cat will be thrilled. They can eat pretty much any kind of meat that we can without any problems.

cook some rice put some vegetables and meat in it with some broth
