My 8 week old kitten Elmo is full of energy (as he should be!). At the moment, I'm off work for 2 weeks, then I'll have to leave him on his own during the day. I've done my best to 'kitten-proof' my flat, but they'll always be naughtiness he can find!
Is it okay to get a large play-pen type thing for him, that he can play safely in while he's home alone, just while he's little?
Obviously I'm not keen on the idea of keeping him enclosed, but I'm scared that he'll hurt himself.
Is there any particular produce that anyone can recommend please? My flat isn't huge, but I want it to be a space that he can play safely in and doesn't mind being in.
Thank you for your help!

Is there not a room you can shut him in during the day? Cat's don't usually like to be penned in, especially if they are used to roaming around. You can buy large cat/kitten crates on the internet, check out the link below for an idea.

cats are very smart..even tho hes little he should know what he can and cant do..i wouldnt worry about him hurting himself..just worry about ur flat LOL as long as he as some things to play with he should be ok..id have someone come in every few days to check on him..id think it would be harder on the kitten if he was cooped up in a pen then free to roam around
