Is my cat going into labor?!?

Is my cat going into labor?!?
First of all, no it's not my fault she's pregnant, I got her from the shelter after she was pregnant, so none of those rude shoulda got her spayed comments. But anyways she is being sluggish and laying around in the bathtub mostly. She has been in alot of positions that look uncomfortable such as facing the wall pressed up against it and on her side. She was eating alot but seems to have laid off it. Also when I was feeling her she meowed loudly in a way that seemed painful and not my fault.
you should call the vet because it may be complications and u dont want to risk anything, i was there when my aunt helped this ladies cat when she was having babies so just call the vet as an emergency...good luck!
it sounds like the chances are good. probably you'll see kittens within the next 48 hours. possibly much less.
Has she "nested" & picked a place to deliver? Often a box full of shredded paper - the more shred/mess the happier they seem.

If she is actually bracing herself against the side of the box then she is in labor. If she appears to be straining for a prolonged period or in a great deal of distress - get her to a vet.
breeding/showing purebred cats since 1972
Yes labor is near. But maybe another 24hrs.I know even a woman near the end feels fat and sluggish. You need to prepare a nesting place although this does not always work for cats have a mind of their own and tend to pick a spot that they feel is the safest but try it anyway.Good luck. I use to be a cat breeder but stopped because there are so many cats and kittens in shelters already that I felt it was best to let them have a chance instead! Good Luck and keep a close watch.
Sounds to me like she could be starting labor. Do you have a birthing box set up for her? I used to use a cardboard box big enough for kitty to get in and out of. Big enough for her to lay down in comfortably. I used to put my birthing boxes in a closet, left the door partly open so my momma cats could get out if they needed too. It helps if the box is in the dark. Leave the closet door part way open so it will be dark and quiet. Put some old towels or blankets inside the box. The more blankets or towels the softer it will be for her to lay on. Show her where the birthing box is and let nature take it's course.
Have had several momma cats that gave birth to babies.
