Have you every come across a cat or own a cat that growl when perfectly happy?
I went to a cat shelter today, i met this beatiful cat-her name is Cassie, she unique as she doesn't purr or meow much, but rather give these low soft growls and for her they mean nothing but she happy! While she makes these growls, she smooch and rubs her head again your fingers & arms and even jump on your shoulder.

She doesn't scratch or bite, she does hiss sometime at other cats but the claw don't come out, BUT aparently she fine with other cats.

Cassie is torti and white colour(also know as Calico)=Maily silver tabby with those pinkish tan marks, plus black tipping on the coat & a nice amount of white on her chest.

I know this is the 1st time i come across a cat that growl when happy, i had owned cats since i was younger then 5!

It wasn't a purr, i know the sound between a purr, a growl and a meow and hiss, She didn't meow once while i was with her, she purred only once. She these low soft vocal growls nearly the whole time i was patting her and she was smooching me.

Cassie is approx 3year old
Cassie soft low vocal growling doesn't mean anything apart from she content and happy!

Has anyone every owned a cat that growls when happy?.

There was clearly a connection between us, however i cannot adopted just yet as we are in rental and cats aren't allowed.

However won't her weird vocal noises put people off adopting her? Because most cats don't growl when happy, they mean go away.
Cassie will undoubtedly appeal to someone looking for a unique cat :)
And yes, I have come across such a cat; my Siamese-mix, China, was the only cat I've ever met that could (or would) purr and growl at the same time. It was hilarious. She was a temperamental little thing, and often couldn't decide whether to be happy or p!ssed off :)
I hope you find a way to adopt that cat. Her chances of being adopted by someone else are not good.
I remember saving a cat with a collar around it's neck and front leg. It was badly injured so we decided to help it and remove the collar. This cat was not very friendly because it was feral but as soon as we got it off it ran away. A few days passed and the cat came back to our porch hoping for some food. as we approached it It hissed and growled, but at the same time it was purring and rubbing against our legs. It was a very unusual cat, but we had to get rid of it because of our new baby kitten. So the answer to your question is YES! There is cats out there that are Mad looking but are actually quite happy inside. I don't know why this is but it is very strange. =)
