A very informative website you can also get much information in website
The cat in the picture is a bengal.
As long as the boxes are kept clean and not moved around a lot it should be fine. It's a good idea to scoop out poops every day too. Just show the new cat where the boxes are and it should get it right away. Expect some hissing and growling from both cats. There might be a little fur flying along the way. After a day or so they will be fine with each other. They will make friends rather quickly.

Your cat is beautiful! He's a tiger cat. Love those eyes too!

Good luck!
1. having two litterboxes is a great idea. When you bring the new cat home simply drop him in the box. He may get a little confused being in a new environment so he might have a couple of accidents. Simply pick up the mess and put the mess than him in the litter box. Make sure to clean up the accident with vinegar solution.

2. There is no guarantee your cats will not fight at first. However, a proper introdution can make the difference between best buddies and a lifetime of resentment. Chances are your current cat will not be too happy about someone stepping in on his territory. That is why it is best to keep two cats seperate at first. Rub a cloth across each cat and exchange them so they get used to each others scent. Put your current cat away and let the new cat have free roam of the house for a little while. During the introduction phase slightly crack open the door. If both cats seem okay let them hang out together under your supervision. If either one seems stress separate them.

3. Kitties must be cared for but they are no harder or easier than any other animal. Kitties are easy to litter train and they will use the box provided it is clean and they are healthy.
I have 8 cats most cats will except another cat in to the home.I recommend you get a cat from an animal shelter because most of the cats are already litter trained and if you slowly introduce your cat to the new cat it probably wont take more then a few days for them to get use to each other. Also make sure you get a cat that has a similar personality as your cat it will help them get along better. I have had a lot of cats and other animals. Right now my home includes 8 cats, 2 toads,a turtle, 5 fish, a Newfoundland mix,a German Short-hair hunting dog, a boxer mix and a pit bull. When i was going up we raised an African lion from 60 lbs to over 600lbs plus many other types of animals. Good Luck.
