Can i put my bird in a cage?

Hey, I have a 7 week old yellow naped amazon. I was wondering if i can put him in a cage at 7 weeks old. I am currently handfeeding it.

That's a young bird. Should be okay, but I would put the perch a little low until we know the bird won't sleep fall off of it. Gradually raise it up till it's the highest (safest to the bird) perch in the cage.

I would start him out is a small cage. I would take the bottom grate out as well to prevent foot injuries or if you have a large wrought iron cage I would put news paper over the great. I would also get one of the stand alone perches like these ones:

Good Luck :) I put my Quaker in her cage when she was 4 weeks but I had a stuffed animal in there for her to snuggle up to.
