Woodpecker problem!! ?
There is an annoying black and white speckled woodpecker living in the rtree in my garden and it's long sticky barbed tongue dextrously hooks in and out from the deep crevices of the barky tree trunk, especiallu during the hours of dawn, which is causing great sleep deprevation amongst me and my other family members. What can i do about this? Any suggestians? I don't know how much longer i can stand it!
I would say its a protected species, so no there is nothing you can do about it.
haha....nice....does it go rat-ata-tat-atat--ttaat----tat......that is a cool sound.....get a scarecrow up in the tree....or put a speaker up there...get a remote control to turn it on from your bed...so u can scare it off...

i wish i had beautiful birds like that where i live....here ther are only sounds of cars.....
well if he's living in it, it's technically his house and not your tree, but i suggest you go to his tree and give him some wood as a tree warming gift and become friends
Did you know they have an ear in the end of their tongue!?
Anyway, im sorry but all i can think of is to where ear plugs. As it wouldn't be very nice to kill it or get rid of its home.

A pellet gun can be bought fairly easily. So can a chainsaw. A cat perhaps? Failing that, sell up and move out, it's the only remaining option. Good luck
kill it because it will never go away!
in the bible it says that woodpeckers are the devils work and you need to slay everyone of them you see
the bible
A bit of drumming is a small price to pay for having such a beautiful creature as your neighbour.

Sheesh, why can't people learn to love the beauty of nature instead of moaning about harmless creatures minding their own business.
Move to Ireland, we don't have any woodpeckers in Ireland.

Seriously the drumming isn't that loud, my parents have woodpeckers in their garden and the drumming has never woken me up. Imagine if your neighbours had a screaming baby or a cockerel, then you would know about noise (I've had babies and I have a cockerel)

Try to relax, don't get stressed, the more stressed you let it get you the less you will sleep.
Go to Coastal Farm Supply. They have plastic owls with bobble heads that move easily. It will scare him off. Best wishes.
