My cockatiel makes absolutely no noise?

My cockatiel makes absolutely no noise?
Hi, I have two pet cockatiels and one is a white cockatiel, unsure of the sex, makes lots of shrill high pitched calls, especially when I leave the room or spend 5 seconds not paying attention to her (we call it a her, again not sure of sex). She also has a playful and pushy personality.
My second one is much more calm and easy going. Not sure of sex but we call it a he, he has an all yellow crest, whitish yellow chest, grayish back and bright orange cheeks. He makes no noise whatsoever. His personality is much more content than the white one, he doesn't mind staying wherever I put him. At first I thought it was just the personality that made him more quiet, but I would have thought he would make some kind of noise. Is this normal?
I thought it might be a dominance thing also, but there is no indication for that. Neither of them will give the other control over the food bowl/toys/etc its always whoever gets there first keeps control.
Does she make any kind of noise at all? even if you poke her on her side, not hard but enough to startle her/him? Has he ever chirped for you at all. If not it is very unusual for a cockatiel to not sing. I would check to see if you can get him to make a noise, then if you get nothing, take him to a vet.
I have a female cockatiel (I believe she's a girl coz' she's barring on her tail) and she chirps and talks all the times. I heard that female weiro is quiet but mine definitely not. So I guess it really something to do with their personalities regardless their genders. If your male bird is generally happy and healthy I think it doesnt matter he's a little quiet, may be he'll chirp and make lots of noise latter.
Male cockatiels are the vocal ones and they are the ones thst sing and talk. The females do not talk or sing but they should still chirp or make noise. Try poking it, not to hurt, just to scare a little and see if it makes noise, if it doesnt make any noise then i would definately see a vet.
Lots of experience with cockatiels

Might just be more quiet natured, than the other, might be a sign of depression, might be egg bound.

Cockatiels like mixed seeds, put in a sprays of millet seed - they love pecking at this. They like nibbling lettuce, cabbage leaf. Always have piece of cuttle fish in - this helps keep their beaks trim and if they are a breeding pair it will help with forming a good hard shell, and stop the hen getting egg bound.

Always make sure they have fresh water - birds have dust in their feathers, and throw their seed around abit.

Hope your cockatiel is chirping a few notes soon.
