so im gettin cockatiels and i found this huge stack of newspaper then i thought i remember reading something about cockatiels liking newspaper..
is there anything i could do with it to make toys and stuff?

?Yes it is fine is you put the toy at the top of their cage. They will rip it to shreds probably, but they won't eat it. You can also take toilet paper rolls and hang them from the top. They like to hang out in there and chew on them.
?I have once made a chain of toilet paper rolls that went all through the cage. My budgies crawled through them and had so much fun. But then they ripped them to shreds and that was the end of me making home made toys.

Sorry Kids the rolls from paper products are not recommended for playtoys where they will be chewed, The reason is that the glue that holds them together is not made for consumption and may contain lead or zinc or other harmful sustances. You can call any of the manufacturers and they will all tell you the same thing.
one of my cockatiels love paper and cardboard. i put an old telephone book on one of the perches, i just open it in half and put it over so it hangs on the perch. he likes tearing the papers off. i have a swing that i put cardboard rings on with squares of cardboard in between, he like chewing on that too.
