make a tape and play it all day while ur at school/work. i did this nd my parakeet learned hello.
just repeat the word you want him to say over and over and over. Or as the person who answered the question first said, create a tape recording saying the words you want him to say over n over n over again.

It might take some time. Birds are pets you have to be patient with. Parakeets can't really talk so your parakeet just might whistle it. The thing you want to teach your parakeet to say, say it over and over again. Say it or whistle. Just keep on saying it over and over again everyday until your parakeet knows how to say it. you repeat the words clearly over and over and over. but parakeets are harder to teach than cockatiels, i had 3 that never talked, but my cockatiel talks all the time.
i do know someone who taught thier parakeet to recite their home address. so it is rare, but possible.
